TIAN DI 天地 | JIAN 肩

Shoulder and Neck Dit Da Jow | 4 fl oz

The upper body lives in the domain of Tian, Heaven. Shoulder and cervical injuries belong to the Wei and Tai Yang channels, where wind-cold lodges, where tendons attach to bone under constant rotational load, and where stasis turns into calcification if left unresolved. JIAN is formulated for that geography: channel-conducting herbs that open the yang channels of the upper body, structural herbs that work the sinew layer, and blood-movers calibrated to the upper body's characteristic stiffness and guarding pattern.

San Qi leads at 15%, moving blood and resolving stasis through the shoulder and cervical sinew. Qiang Huo and Du Huo open the Du Mai into the upper body. Three conductors then steer the formula to its anatomy: Gui Zhi to the Tai Yang arm channels of the posterior shoulder, Chuan Xiong to the Shao Yang head and neck, and Gao Ben to the upper cervical vertebrae and occiput, which is what lets JIAN reach whiplash and occipital patterns and not the shoulder alone. Jiang Huang at 11% is the formula's signature herb, carrying a specific affinity for the arm channels and the shoulder joint. Ru Xiang leads the resin cluster at the sinew layer, Yan Hu Suo eases the pain, and Bing Pian opens the surface to carry the formula in.

Indicated for: Subacute and chronic shoulder and cervical presentations from Day 3 onward. Rotator cuff strain past the acute phase, frozen shoulder with cold immobility and restricted range, cervical strain and stiffness, trapezius and occipital tension, whiplash recovery, channel-pattern pain referring down the arm, and AC joint strain. Begin at Day 3, transitioning from CHONG.

Application: 3 to 5 sprays to the affected area. Massage in firmly until absorbed. Two to three times daily. For cold, stiff, frozen-shoulder presentations, follow with a warm compress for 20 to 30 minutes, since the warming herbs work best with sustained heat.
