JIE | Chronic Joint Repair Oil
TIAN DI 天地 | JIE 节
Joint Oil | 4 fl oz
When the acute phase has passed and the injury has settled into something older and harder, the clinical work shifts from moving to rebuilding. JIE is a Phase 2 to Phase 3 oil for chronic joint pathology: the calcified shoulder, the arthritic knee, the post-sprain ankle that never fully resolved. Its carrier is sesame and castor oil, chosen for depth of penetration and affinity with structural tissue. Its herb selection goes places alcohol-based liniments cannot reach.
Tu Bie Chong and Ji Xue Teng lead together as the two Chiefs. Tu Bie Chong at 15% is the classical salty insect medicine for breaking stubborn blood stasis hardened into bone and joint, while Ji Xue Teng at 13% nourishes and moves blood through the sinew layer surrounding the joint. Gu Sui Bu, whose name means to mend broken bone, works the bone surface and joint margins. Du Zhong tonifies the Kidney-Liver axis, the kidney governing bone and the liver governing sinew. Di Long pairs with Tu Bie Chong in the animal salty tier: where Tu Bie Chong addresses what has hardened, Di Long addresses what has been displaced. Mu Li, ground fine, softens hardness and disperses accumulation at the mineral tier, the bone spur and calcified category. Bai Shao and Dang Gui Wei nourish the blood and soften the guarding patterns that form around a chronically injured joint, the counterbalance the breaking herbs require. Bing Pian opens the surface and carries the oil deep.
Indicated for: Chronic joint stasis and degeneration, the bone spur and calcified adhesion category, post-traumatic joint fibrosis, calcified tendon insertions, chronic ligament laxity, old sprain sequelae, and joint stiffness from cold-damp bi obstruction. Phase 2 and Phase 3 presentations. Pairs with JIE NEI internal formula.
Application: Apply 4 to 6 drops to the affected joint. Work in slowly with sustained moderate pressure rather than rapid friction. Once to twice daily. For calcified or adhesion-bound joints, apply after a warm shower and follow with a warm compress for 20 to 30 minutes, or wrap lightly overnight, since the structural herbs work through extended contact. Shake gently before use.
