SHU | Post-Surgical Recovery Oil
TIAN DI 天地 | SHU 舒
Post-Surgical Recovery Oil | 4 fl oz
Surgery creates a specific category of injury that most dit da formulas are not designed to address. The blade cuts through the Wei Qi layer. Fascial planes are opened and have to resettle. Channel circulation through the surgical field is disrupted, and the numbness, tingling, or altered sensation that follow are signs of that disruption along the channel's path. SHU is formulated specifically for the post-surgical recovery arc, beginning after suture removal and full incision closure, typically three to four weeks post-operation onward, applied to the surrounding tissue rather than the incision itself.
Huang Qi leads at 20%, mobilizing wei qi through the peri-surgical field so qi and pliability return across the opened fascial planes. Di Long is the formula's distinctive herb, working the channel obstruction behind post-surgical numbness, tingling, and altered sensation. Huang Jing and Bai Shao supply the qi-yin and yin-blood the recovering muscle and sinew draw on, while Dang Gui Wei moves and nourishes blood in the sinew layer. The formula leaves the aggressive breaking resins out by design, because this is a field that is building. Ru Xiang carries the sinew-layer resin work alone, and Tu Bie Chong at a low dose softens early fibrous organization while it is still pliable. Bing Pian opens the surface to carry the formula into the tissue.
